APA National Planning Conference, NYC, May 6-9, 2017
Application Deadline Extended to 4:00pm Friday, February 17, 2017
This year’s Arthur Kunz Memorial Scholarship application period is open through February 10, 2017. The APA National Planning Conference is held in a different city each year and this coming year will be held in New York City. The Long Island Section would like to promote attendance and professional development by providing additional grants to Long Island planners.
Therefore, this year the Section is dedicating additional funds to provide scholarship grants to professional planners as well as new planners and students. At least three scholarships will be awarded to students/new professionals, and additional grants will be accessible to all Long Island planners.
If you are interested in applying for scholarship funds, please complete the application form (download below), and return to the Long Island Section Scholarship Committee at: ArthurKunzScholarship@gmail.com by 4:00pm on February 17, 2017 (application deadline extended from February 10, 2017).

We look forward to receiving your application!

In an effort to provide additional professional development and AICP Certification Maintenance (CM) session offerings here on Long Island that will be most interesting and useful to our members, the Long Island Section of the Metro Chapter of APA kindly asks for your input and ideas on creating and hosting quality and informative programming over the next two years. In addition to the annual Arthur Kunz Memorial Breakfast and East End Planning Conference (traditionally held in late Spring and early Fall, respectively), the LI Section is looking to its members for suggestions on smaller key events/sessions that will provide value to junior and experienced planners working in the region.
