Wishing you a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season from all of us at the Long Island Section of the APA’s New York Metro Chapter!!

It has been a truly rewarding experience and opportunity to have served as Section Director over the past four years. I owe a special thank you to all of the members and I could not have done this work without the support and steadfast commitment by the Executive Committee – Kathryn J. Eiseman, AICP, Treasurer; Denise Harrington, AICP, Professional Development Officer and Ann Fangmann, AICP, Secretary.

I announce with great pleasure that Sean E. Sallie, AICP will be assuming the role of LI Section Director on January 1, 2015. Sean has been a member of the APA since 2007 and is committed to serving the members of the LI Section in his new role. Sean has more than 12 years of experience in regional land-use and environmental planning here on Long Island and is truly dedicated and passionate about working across professional disciplines and municipal boundaries to create economically, socially and environmentally sustainable communities.

Please join me in welcoming Sean as Section Director and wishing him all the best in 2015!

Sincerely,

Ela Dokonal, AICP CUD, LEED AP, on behalf of the LI Section Executive Committee
