The APA LI Section is pleased to announce that the first of these walking tours will held this coming Friday, November 15, 2013 in the Village of Patchogue, starting promptly at 4 PM. We will meet at the Patchogue Theatre (newly restored). The tour will be conducted by Mayor Paul Pontieri, highlighting the planning successes of recent years. Following the tour, the group will meet at the nearby Public House for a social gathering. Patchogue Village is known for its amazing turnaround to become a regional destination. Please join us and learn how this has happened.
We are hoping that this will be the first of many such tours around Long Island where planners can see the activity that has occurred and network with others. We hope to secure CM Credits for these mobile workshops.
The walking tour is limited to the first 25 people who sign up, we have a few spots left. Please RSVP to Patti Bourne at pattibourne@gmail.com with Patchogue Walking Tour in the subject line.
If you would like to meet the group after the tour for some time to informally talk and network, we will be meeting at the Public House, at approximately 5 pm or a little afterwards. There is no charge for the tour, but everyone will pay for their own refreshments at the Public House. Please member to dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
