Long Island Section Awards Four Scholarships for Attendance at the 2018 APA National Conference in New Orleans!
The Long Island Section is pleased to announce that three planners and one planning student have been awarded the 2018 Arthur Kunz Memorial Scholarship for attendance at the APA National Conference in April 2018.
Congratulations to Lucia Cappuccio, assistant planner at the City of Long Beach; Matt Charters, a planner at the Town of Southampton; Matthew Esposito, a planner at the Town of Babylon; and Kendra Armstead, a student at Hunter College who also works full time for an environmental firm on Long Island. Attending the conference itself is an inspiring experience, with lots of learning and networking opportunities, and is guaranteed to inspire and shape the professional paths of attending planners. This year’s winners join a long list of previous scholarship winners including APA Metro Chapter’s President Max Sokol, AICP and dozens of others since 1995.
The LI Section also looks forward to honoring this year’s recipients at the 2018 Arthur Kunz Memorial Scholarship Breakfast to be held this spring. Details on the event will be announced soon!
